FAQ: Vaccines & Fecal Requirements for Training Enrollment
What vaccinations are required for my dog to participate?
For the health and safety of all dogs in our programs, we require proof of vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian (vet letterhead only—no feed store vaccinations accepted). These records must be provided before your dog’s first in-person training session.
💉 Required Vaccinations (Minimum Standards for Enrollment):
Puppy series (age-appropriate distemper/parvo series)
Rabies (1- or 3-year certificate)
💉 Highly Recommended Vaccinations (Based on your vet’s discretion):
Bordetella (kennel cough) – Required annually
Leptospirosis – Required annually
Distemper
Hepatitis
Parainfluenza
Canine Influenza (H3N2/H3N8 – must cover both strains)
📎 Titers accepted with documentation from your vet.
✅ How to submit vaccine records:
Upload them to your Owner Portal or text a screenshot/photo to our SMS line: 1 (833) 926-0791. If records are not received prior to your reservation, training will need to be rescheduled.
Do you require a fecal test?
Yes. A clean fecal test is required within 3 months of starting any group training, day training, or boarding program. This helps protect your dog and others from common parasites and illnesses—especially in our damp Pacific Northwest climate.
🦠 What we screen for:
Hookworms
Roundworms
Whipworms
Giardia
Coccidia
✅ Submit results via your Owner Portal or bring them to your first appointment.
⚠️ Failure to provide proof of a clean fecal test within one week of starting will waive any liability on our part and may delay your dog's participation.
📅 We also recommend ongoing fecal checks every 6–12 months—especially for dogs that are active outdoors or in communal settings.
Why are these requirements important?
Just like with school-aged kids, dogs in group settings are more exposed to viruses and bacteria. To minimize health risks, we combine vaccination and fecal screening policies with daily sanitation protocols and HEPA-filtered air systems in all buildings.

How Do You Keep the Facility Clean and Safe?
At Harmony Canine Training, your dog’s health and safety is our top priority. In addition to requiring vaccinations and clean fecals, we maintain strict sanitation practices to reduce the spread of viruses, bacteria, and parasites during group classes, training sessions, and boarding.
🧼 Our Cleaning Protocols Include:
Wyziwash Disinfectant: Used 2–3 times daily for general sanitizing and immediately after any accident.
Immediate Waste Cleanup: All pet waste is picked up and bagged as soon as it’s spotted—no exceptions.
Bleached Bowls & Clean Water: All water bowls are sanitized between each use and refreshed multiple times daily. Kiddie pools are also sanitized and refilled often.
Handwashing Between Dogs: Trainers wash hands between sessions to prevent cross-contamination.
HEPA Air Filtration: Our buildings are equipped with HEPA air filters to reduce airborne pathogens and improve indoor air quality.
Toy & Gear Hygiene: Toys are sanitized frequently, and we avoid gear swapping between dogs whenever possible.
These measures are in place to support your dog’s immune system and help us maintain a clean, safe training environment for every pup in our care.
